Philanthropy is personal. But good intentions alone don't build lasting impact. Structure, strategy, and the right conversations do.

My path to philanthropy wasn't direct. I started in hospitality sales at a historic hotel in Hollywood, face to face with guests, building relationships, making people feel seen. After nearly a decade in the US, family brought me back to Singapore, and an unexpected detour led me into the nonprofit sector. What struck me immediately was how familiar it felt.

Fundraising, at its core, is the same work: listening carefully, understanding what someone values, and helping them act on it. The difference is that the stakes are higher. The resources raised don't fill hotel rooms. They change lives. That realisation has kept me in this work for over 15 years, and it shapes how I approach every client relationship today.

My professional background spans major gift fundraising, donor engagement, and cross-sector partnership development across East and Southeast Asia. I've held roles at Rotary International, where my portfolio spanned 14 countries across the region, the Community Foundation of Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design.

That experience, seeing philanthropy from the inside, across cultures, across generations, and across borders, is what I bring to this work. I understand what matters more to the families I work with, where giving strategies break down, and what it takes to build a philanthropic practice a family can sustain and grow over time.

I established this advisory practice to work with family offices and private families across Asia who are ready to move beyond ad hoc giving. The families I work best with tend to be at an inflection point: new wealth, a next generation coming into its own, or a founder who wants their legacy to mean something specific.

My approach is grounded in a structured methodology developed from years of working on both sides of the giving relationship. It is practical, not prescriptive, and adapts to the complexity that every family brings.
