What I Offer
Philanthropy advisory is not one-size-fits-all. Families come to this work at different stages, with different needs, and different definitions of what impact means to them. The engagements below are designed to meet families where they are and take them where they want to go.
Most families start here
01 Philanthropy Foundations Review
A structured starting point for families ready to give strategically.
Many families give generously but without a framework to guide where, why, or how. The Philanthropy Foundations Review is a focused engagement for family offices and private families across Asia looking to establish a clear philanthropic direction.
Over two to three sessions, we surface the family's giving history, values, and motivations; assess existing giving structures and relationships; and identify gaps between intent and impact. Where relevant, the process also explores next-generation involvement and cross-cultural giving considerations, particularly for families with philanthropic interests across the Asia-Pacific region.
The output is a Philanthropy Foundations Report covering:
Philanthropic values and cause priorities
Giving history review and pattern analysis
Preferred geographies and sectors
Giving vehicle assessment and suitability
Recommended next steps, prioritised by impact and readiness
The Report gives the family and their advisors a shared language and a concrete basis for decisions.
Fixed fee: SGD 6,800 | 2 to 3 sessions over 4 weeks
Suitable for individuals, couples, or multi-generational families. Engagements conducted in English or Mandarin.
02 Philanthropy Strategy Development
For families ready to move from clarity to action.
Building on the foundations established in the Philanthropy Foundations Review, or for families who already have a clear sense of their values and priorities, this engagement develops a full philanthropic strategy tailored to the family's ambitions, structure, and timeline.
The process covers cause area research and grantee landscape mapping across relevant geographies, giving vehicle assessment and recommendation, donor-advised funds, private foundations, direct giving, or a combination, and the development of a three to five year giving roadmap with clear priorities, milestones, and decision criteria.
The output is a Philanthropy Strategy Document: a practical, actionable reference the family and their advisors can implement and build on over time.
Scope and fees upon enquiry.
Typical engagement: 8 to 12 weeks.
03 Family Philanthropy Advisory — Retained
For families who want an experienced thought partner alongside them for the long term.
This retainer engagement provides ongoing advisory support across all aspects of a family's philanthropic practice, from grantee due diligence and impact review to next-generation programming, governance, and strategic pivots as family circumstances evolve.
Think of it as a fractional philanthropy director for the family: available when needed, deeply familiar with the family's giving identity, and able to bring an outside perspective to decisions that benefit from one.
Engagements are structured around the family's needs and reviewed annually.
Retainer fees upon enquiry. Minimum engagement: six months.
This engagement covers philanthropic values and strategy, not financial, legal, or tax structuring. Vehicle recommendations should be reviewed with the family's own advisors — I'm glad to work alongside them.
Not sure where to start?
The Philanthropy Foundations Review is designed as a low-commitment first step.
